Our Nuernberg Tiergarten Adventure

We've been wanting to venture out and see what Germany has to offer. We came upon this tourist website about Germany and discovered that there was a zoo about an hour away in Nuernberg! Jaysen had a four day weekend so we figured we should take the opportunity and just GO!

Germans don't call zoos a "zoo", they call them "tiergartens". We arrived at around 9:45am. We were glad that we bundled up because the weather never really warmed up. Once we started moving though, it didn't seem so cold. It was a rather large tiergarten! The layout was confusing at times and it was a good thing that we knew some german and could put 2 and 2 together on other words because EVERYTHING was in german. Oh, well, we had fun besides the fact. Jayden was soooo excited to see all the different animals and it's more fun for us now too because he can talk better. He would say things like; "Wow, that's beautiful" or "Wow, cool" and he would say "bye" to the different animals when we would move on to the next. It's was cute. Jayce was just happy to take it all in. He had to spend most of the time in the stroller though, because the weather was cold, but he seemed to enjoy all the "fresh" air. I say it like that because zoos don't smell fresh, they smell ripe, if you know what I mean.
We had sooo much fun that we want to go to another tiergarten in Berlin!
